We are a DNA biology lab with a research focus on the analysis of genomic, epigenetic and environmental data to improve our understanding of cell-free DNA, cancer biology, and other pathologies. Our research is largely hypothesis driven and employs the principles of biology, molecular and computational sciences to address questions in life sciences, cancer and molecular medicine.
We have a specialized research interest in improving our understanding of circulating nucleic acids biology, and developing innovative solutions to detect them in bio-fluids. We focus our work on the most challenging scenarios for liquid biopsy: early detection and brain cancers. We develop methods based on high throughput sequencing, fragmentomic, meta-genomic, deep learning and computational analysis in our research. Our approach leads to the creation of new scientific methods and inventions for improving the early detection and forecasting of cancers.
We recently started to develop methods for the non-invasive detection of pathologies beyond cancer (neuro-degeneration and auto-immune diseases).
